Fault Line Release September 28, 2014

We are at a crossroads dear Fault Line Society Members! In an effort to bring you the best beer at best possible time we were forced to make a game time decision for the September Fault Line release.

As some of you know it is wet hop season. We were able to get out hands on the freshest wet hops that would be perfect for Coriolis Wet Hopped Imperial IPA. However the beer will not be ready yet before the end of September. It will not be bottled until October 6, 2014.

We were going to release Mayahuel instead however we want to give that a few more weeks. We want it to be perfect. This is the beer included in your membership so we need to get it right.

REMEMBER the beer decides when it is ready, not us.

Mayahuel is one of our finest aged beers. Mayahuel gets its namesake from the Aztec Goddess of agave. The “Tripel” name actually stems from part of the brewing process, in which brewers use up to three times the amount of malt than a standard Trappist “Simple”. Additions of 100% Blue Webber Agave Nectar and Clear Belgian Candi Sugar imported from Belgium lighten the body, while adding complex alcoholic aromas and spicy phenolic flavors of banana, clove, and anise. The complexity is further layered by additions of Fairchild tangerines, and Persian Limes. Mayahuel is bright gold in color, with a massive, dense and creamy head supported by Belgian lace. Mayahuel spends several months aging in Bourbon Barrels before ever making it into your glass adding notes of caramel, toffee, and vanilla to and already rich and complex ale.

As such since we are not going to have a release in September we are going to have make up for it by throwing you all a pizza party in September and then do the two releases in October.

The pizza party will take place on NFL Sunday Funday at the taproom from Noon until 5pm on Sunday September 28, 2014. All your pizza will be free and we will be doing some smoking beer specials that day. RSVPs required and you can bring up to two guests per member.
